Stars are created in the middle of large amounts of gas called nebulae, when enough matter gets clumped together to attract more and more matter. If enough matter coolects together, then the gravity of all this matter can start fusion reactions in the core of the star. This fusion releases large amounts of energy. If there is not enough matter to start fusion, the object is called a brown dwarf. Brown dwarfs can be thought of as large planets, similar to Jupiter. |
